Thats what you get for being out in the storm! Everyone had been warned two days prior. If you are that ignorant …thats what you get!

@KualaLoop Chicago’s the third largest city in the states. Shut your trap. Police and firefighters were out trying to drive through THE WHOLE CITY. Buses were down, there were accidents all over the place, hospitals were being rushed in with stranded people. They were doing the best they could even though it was just as dangerous. For all they cared they could’ve opted to stay home and let those people in the SEVERAL HUNDRED cars die.

An AP reporter had jumped in the car of 2 random stranded passengers. Perhaps that is why the firefighter was hostile to the two passengers – because they thought the “arrogance” of the reporter’s comment had anything to do with the two people that had just agreed to an interview about the blizzard. And yes, reporters will edit to make an interesting story – perhaps that is why he reported that a “friend” picked them up (which was impossible) and did not happen – this was not true at all.

@KualaLoop The video is posted by th Associated Press who were in that car. So what you’re saying is they edited their own video to make themselves look ungrateful?

I’m a Chicago Firefighter, I was at that vehicle with the police officer, how arrogant they were, the only thing they could say is “we are AP” who gives a shit get out of your damn car!! typical jagoff media!

Editing is a nice trick – I do it for a living. I know the couple. What isn’t in this video is the cop who 2 minutes earlier instructed them to stay with their car so that they could tow it off the drive. THAT is why they are talking about their car. The responders ARE brave, but the problem is they take orders and these drivers (700+) sat here for 10 hours with not even water dropped off – one woman braved 60 mile gusts to bring it to vehicles from her apt. B clear no one came for 10 hours!

@DeadFrontierZN2012 thanks for the extra info. Well, maybe the next time, people will take the warnings more seriously (I hope).

The reason the people don’t want to leave their car, is tow yards are scum. They have no regard for your car, will smash it, dent it, scratch it, and claim that’s the way it came in. Next they charge you for each day, dollies, and other charges. I bet these people had to pay $500 to get their car back. Move.

@MrTambopaxi

I am from Chicago. And the media did warn people. But the snow hurricane was not expected to hit for a few hours more. People leaving from work got caught in it. But then, you still have a fair share of morons who decided they needed to go out & add to the drain on resources.

many people have still not found there cars, the city did not think to tag plates, but all in all, the city did a good job given this is the 3rd biggest Storm in Chicago. Some people are just retarded=/

I don’t understand these people. Assuming they weren’t all suddenly plunked down in the snow from SoCal, they should never have been in their cars out in that weather to begin with. Chicago should simply have told everyone to hold fast wherever they were, be it in their homes, offices, wherever. Going out in that kind of weather is super dangerous for themselves and first responders. Worried about their cars… Ridiculous…

It’s starting! The whole world is going to shit and the cronies in Washington are going to save their own asses in their tax-payer funded holes in the ground, while you’re left to rot.
