Question by onecrzeewmn: What string is the strongest for beading long necklaces?
I made several 60″ necklaces using seed and bugle beads and the string is breaking. I glued at the knot but that stays in place. Any suggestions on a brand of string/thread that is stronger. Or has anyone used fishing line?

Fishing line works great, doesn’t look as good as natural fiber though. If you’re good, you can hide it

Fishing line works well, but does look kind of, well, cheap. For seed beads, I would recommend trying nylon beading thread, which is surprisingly strong (Nymo is particularly good), or silk cord, which will also be stronger, although for your length there you’ll need to buy it by the spool (cheaper, but fewer colors). You should be able to get either at a reputable bead shop. If you don’t have a local one, Fire Mountain Gems has both types of thread.
