This week, the Thread Heads take a trip to the Green Festival in Chicago and check out all the eco vendors. Then we head over to our forum member MamaSasss’s house and get and awesome lesson on how-to make a pin necklace. Plus, the moment you all have been waiting for…we’re announcing the Janome Sewing Machine Contest winner!

OMG! We need a greenfestival in the UK!!
omg, i saw a sleepy hollow poster!!!
@idhateme3 i think you could use a neclace chain extender for the chain, unless you want the necklace to hang really low. and you can get those at craft stores like hobby lobby.
I’ll try this to make a bracelet instead,very nice!
@MzHellfyre i call them badges.
i usually go to china town to find these types of things… find them in a bead shop..
omg i went there!! probably not the same day. i live in chicago and my dads company (natural fitness) was there so i went with him. i like the microphone. while i was there (i don’t think anyone will care about this) i tried some hemp milk and………………. yuck!!
Also how big were the buttons that were used?
Hmm, anyway I could make the necklace into a button bracelet? I mean cause my bf would love something like that just…not a necklace, lol. Also where can I buy a chain for it?

I LOVE that necklace! Its so awesome! Thats an awesome movie! Good luck with it! lol
i think i’m going to use her ‘technique’ to replicate the necklace in ‘confessions of a teenage drama queen’. :p
you can reuse a necklace you already own. ex: any chain with an ugly pendant. :p
wow, we only call them badges in australia. I’ve heard buttons from american tv & movies but not so much pins.

I love this…but I actually don’t have any pins hanging around.
it all depends on where you’re from. up here they are usually called pins. sometimes buttons. very rarely badges. i don’t think i’ve heard anyone up this way call them badges.
